Occult Corporate America

What does occult mean? Occult simply means hidden. Look in the dictionary.
It has also been used to describe the "hidden" activities of secret societies or magical societies.
I put hidden in quotes because these once secret or at least partly secret societies are more transparent than ever before. The symbols can be seen everywhere.

One common symbol is a lion or the two lions facing each other. This is an ancient symbol for many different secret societies. Is this a cause for concern? This is a good question. One perspective about these secret magical societies is that they have become corrupted - most member are unaware of the role their group has behind the scenes and they have joined it as a social club or charity organization, like the common purpose organization in the UK, or members may not be fully aware of the true character of their society - perhaps even unable to face it after years of long association. The pyramid is of course another symbol. Skulls and bones are another (Skull and Bones Society - Yale). Dragons, various creatures and less than good slogans - things you wouldn't want to be given credit for say if they were spoken even as a joke.

Many of these slogans and symbols have become so common you might get the impression there are gangs roaming the streets! Go to any Wal-Mart for example and see the T-shirts section with the prints on them. There you see many skulls, dragons, comic heroes, and slogans you don't want your children saying. If you are from Mexico you might wonder are these skulls on t-shirts and skeleton t-shirts celebrating the Day of the Dead! Well... do you see any reference to the Day of the Dead on these symbols? Also, why are they sold all year long? Typically these ghoulish images are only seen around halloween in the US. Why are they always there? Is this a cultural improvement? Is this good for the mood and imagination of people? Think of your children.

Another common seen symbol these days is the crown. It is part of the Jonas Brothers imagery, it is on many t-shirts, it can be seen in various places. It is the classic symbol of monarchy of course or for us in the US, we will remember the British Crown from whom we won our independance. Last I checked we did. Now why is this symbol of Monarchy, of the royal families, so popular now? You tell me.

I'm not sure what to think. These things mean what you want them to mean. However I am asking, "What does it mean to the creators of these products?" If children are going to be wearing these things it seems important to know. I see "kids" (why do we refer to children as baby goats) wearing these sweatshirts and t-shirts sporting symbols from magical societies, and ancient symbols that you can buy at walmart and I think why is wal-mart selecting these things to sell? If you look you will see that all the shirts have these themes. Also, the children and others who wear them do not know what they are. And the skeleton clothing is just plain ugly.
Its bad enough to see billboards everywhere without people wearing these things unknowingly. What are they for. When I see a billboard I can see what it is selling. What are these symbols advertising for? Doesn't it make you wonder?
